At the beginning of August the Brown Family got together for the first Brown Family Vacation. I really hope that this becomes a tradition because we had so much fun! I'm sure if everyone else had fun, but our little family did and we are still talking about it.
Jen and I found a cute little beach house on Port Aransas Island that was just perfect to sleep all ten of us. Just like with traveling in the past, George and I knew that renting a house on VRBO was the way to go. We have always had a wonderful experience.
All we did was eat, drink (I had water and tea:), play at the beach, swim in the pool and sleep. It was glorious!
Photo overload in no order whatsoever!
My little fish for the week was Wes. She LOVES to boogie board and thanks to some really good teachers, the Kings, and to some really thoughtful boogie board purchasers, Nana and Grandpa, she has her very own board.
This little man is a hoot
and these three are trouble to say the least!
George was our cook for the first night, Nana took care of breakfast and the Kings took another night. Besides that we just grubbed on what was in fridge.
We bought some fresh seafood when we got to the island so that we could have a big boil on the first night!
Getting in a little practice before heading out to the bigger waves
Preston was a pro
and so were these two goofballs
So, this is where Hudson stayed for two straight days. I'm not even kidding a little. She touched the water a total of three times and besides that she sat here and built castles in the shade.
Cousins. The blondes and brunettes.
The girls took their first showers due to the house lacking bathtubs. Now we take showers every night. So much easier.
The bunk room was a huge hit but also caused some bumps, bruises and crying.
Loving the beach.
So glad that Papa sent this along for use to use. It was perfect for shade, bag and food storage.
Oh, not only did she build castles, but she ate all day. I guess building is hard work.
Pooped out on the first night. Also, my white child sunburned for the first time. It was pretty sad.
This is her home. I will not be surprised if she lives near the beach when she grows up. She was at peace and loved every second of it. I will cherish this pic for a very long time.
Hud at least enjoyed the pool
Last day at the beach
There was even a little Cha-Cha slide education that took place.
Jen, Ryan, George and I took Carly and Wes out for one final boogie board trip on the last night.
These two make me smile and I am sure that they will get in trouble together someday.
And I leave you with the best photo-bomb picture in the history of ever...
We can't wait to see where the Brown Family ends up next year. The trip was so fun and we did a lot of laughing. George and Jenifer know how to liven up a party with some good laughs and this trip was no different. I am so glad that I am part of this family.
