Our sweet baby was showered with love this weekend and we couldn't be more thankful. Some of my wonderful coworkers threw a shower for my friend and I at work yesterday and then some of my dear friends gave us a shower this morning. Wow. Saying that we are blessed beyond measure is an understatement!
Virginia and I are due two weeks a part so it was super fun to celebrate together. Little Miss Lainey will either have a sweet little girl friend or a handsome boyfriend. I think right now the bets are on to see which one of us goes out on maternity leave first.
Our shower this morning was so intimate and relaxing. There were very few people there, but it seemed like the room was full. It was just happy and full of love and excitement for our sweet baby. I left feeling so blessed and just a bit overwhelmed by the generosity of others. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends surrounding my during this time.
(I edited all of these pictures before trying to upload to blogger yet they all appear unedited and out of order. Frustrating!!!)
I was so happy to have my momma there with me!
Probably two of the most selfless people that I have ever met. I'm really not sure what I would do without them.
Some sweet church friends
These two ladies have played very important roles in our lives and the lives of our sweet girls. Again, beyond blessed.
She was hyped up on shortbread cookies, fruit and icing. She came home and crashed for 3 hours.
This one crashed for 3 hours also, but her high was from crock pot meatballs and the bottom of the cupcakes.
The funniest story of the morning was the accidental bridal shower balloon. I'm pretty sure that if we wouldn't have pointed it out then no one would have even noticed.
Super cute banner made by McKenzie that is already in the baby's room. I couldn't bear to fold it up and put it in a box.
My sweet girls signing the guest book
Ahhh, blueberry muffins that were delightful
The super cute sunshine cupcakes were italian cream cake. Holy goodness. If I had to divulge the number of cupcakes I had before posting this it would be between 2 and 4.
These two are ready to be big sisters:)
